come'n clean

It is never too late to turn from the errors of our ways: He who repents of his sins is almost innocent. - Seneca

Well Sunday was quite a special day. Johnny was ordained a Deacon. My heart was so happy as I watched my handsome 12 year old pass the Sacrament for his first time. It actually got me thinking about the Sacrament and how privileged I am to participate in that ordinance each week. Isn't it wonderful that every Sunday we can renew our Baptismal covenants and come "clean".

Speaking of clean...Jalen had a great time playing mud volleyball a few weeks ago. In fact, it was so much fun that Loni couldn't resist jumping in.

Yes with a little work even the worst messes can come out as good as new.

I wish that we could have been there. I'm glad that Erin and Patrick and all of you were there to support Johnny. Tell Johnny that we agree with your Bishop that he did the right thing in not waiting for us.... We are very proud of him and can't wait until he can pass the sacrament to us.

Great mud pictures...Glad I didn't have to clean up the mess.

Dad and I send lots of love to all of you. Have a great week.

I look forward to that day with my three boys. I don't think I will be able to hold it together. :)

You sure have some good looking kids...even when they are covered in mud!

It looks like the kids had so much fun! You have such a wonderful family. Your are all a strong example of what life would be like if you hold to the rod and live the gospel as we all should. I, so much wish I had joined the church when I had my first opportunity to do so, back when I was 18. My life would have been so different and I might still have my family with me. Oh well, no use crying over spilt milk. I still have a pretty blessed life nonetheless!

love the pictures, and it is so nice when our children make the right choices in their lives. Give yourself a pat on the back for raising your kids righteously.

Lynell,
I can't believe I have stumbled upon your blog. I'm not sure if you remember me but I was in your ward when you lived in Roy. I was actually a beehive in Young Womens when you were the President. I can't believe how your family has grown, I remember when your kids were little and I would babysit them. Where are you living now? I actually live in Idaho now with my husband, but my family still lives in Roy. Check out my blog at melissajonesfamily.blogspot.com if you get a minute. I have such fond memories of you and your family!!

Lynell!
Your children are beautiful. It is so fun to see your family and that you are as wonderful, if not more, than when you were in High School!
Does that seem like a long time ago?
Keep looking for those Ordinary Miracles (never heard that song before).

Loni looks like Justin to me in those pictures! So fun - I remember doing that for mutual activities back in the day. Looks like a lot of laundry!
