It's the Little Things

Yesterday started out rough. Jordan could not find his wallet. I had spent the ENTIRE night before puking my guts up (not fun) and was in no condition to help him look. I could tell he was worried sick. In it, was a couple hundred dollars in cash that he had just been paid. He rushed around in a panic. He called friends and the stores that he had been to the night before. His forehead was beaded with sweat when he finally had to leave the house. I was so sad.....

That afternoon he came home dragging his feet and hanging his head. Money has been tight around here and this was a huge blow. I told him not to give up, to keep looking. And so he did. About an hour later he ran into my room. The wallet had been found. With a big smile he looked up and said "Thank you Heavenly Father".

It might seem like a little thing. But to hear those words from my 20 year old son who is "not real big on religion", was a gift.

And with a humble heart I repeat. "Thank you Heavenly Father".

Hmmm...maybe the 'little things' will help your son be 'big on religion'...that's awesome!

Our Mighty God cares about even the smallest details in our lives!

It is through our trials that we find ourselves more frequently on our knees. I know Heavenly Father hates to see us struggle, but is thankful when we turn to Him with a sincere heart.

We love Jordan so much. I'm so glad he was able to see the help he received from a higher power!

I am so so sorry you have been sick! I sure hope you are feeling better... being sick (especially that kind of sick) is the worst!

We love you guys!

Sweetheart....you are suppose to call me when you are sick!!!! I know that I am 700 miles away and can't do a thing to help but at least I can pray for you...and besides moms are suppose to know when their precious children are sick.

Good for our Jordan... I am touched by the story and so thankful. I love our Jordan so much and I am glad that he recognized that Heavenly Father had helped him. That is great.

You are all dear to me. I am sending love since I can't send 7up and chicken soup. Love, Mom

Our God truly is an awesome God. He always speaks to us in amazing ways, and sometimes it's through the words of a son who's not all that big on religion. Appearances can be quite deceiving. Me think's he's a lot bigger on religion than you might suppose. This story touched my heart in a really big way. Your family touched my heart in a really big way. I just wanted you to know that. I hope you are feeling alot better today!! God loves you and I do too!

I'm so sorry you've been sick, I can't stand that feeling!

Seems everyone has a child that breaks your heart and reminds us to be grateful for every little thing that's good about them. Sadly, I can relate.

It's because you love him. Unconditionally. You love him how Father in Heaven loves him, which helps him trust in Him. He's a lucky kid.

Glad he found his wallet...with everything in tact!
Jake lost his wallet a few weeks ago and was devastated. The wallet was finally returned but completely empty! All his $ and gift cards stolen! Hard lesson learned!

Proof that all those things we are taught to do together as a family (prayer, FHE, scripture reading) really do make a difference. ;) Love you, Lynell.
