Father's Day and the Big Move

I must hurry. I think our computer and desk are next on the list for Dathan to pack. Yikes! The sad part is that I won't have any internet access until next week. A week without a computer. I am not sure how I am going to survive. Just the thought of it makes me feel so......so alone. Weird! I will be back just as soon as I can.

We had a very memorable Father's Day. My sweet Dathan was served an early breakfast before we headed out for 9:00 church. Then we came home and bar-b-qued a pork tenderloin for dinner. Delicious! Finally, for dessert, we made homemade ice cream in the ice cream maker that Dathan received as a Father's Day gift.

It was a great day for a great dad. Actually the only thing missing was a place to sit down. Our kitchen table has already been moved out, along with most of our other furniture. We had fun making the best of it. It will certainly be a day that we will remember forever!

Well table or not, I wish that we'd been there to share your father's day dinner with you.

Ican't believe that your table is gone. I guess it should sink into my head soon that you are really moving. I still can't believe it.

Mindy made a wonderful sushi dinner for dad and Ernie yesterday. The day would have been perfect if we just could have been with all of our sweet kids.

Good luck with the move dear. Lots of Love, Mom

I guess it doesn't matter that I post this comment, since you won't see it for at least a week?! I would feel like I was on one of those Reality shows, like SURVIVOR or something without my computer LOL!

What a cool memory that will be for the whole family! Erin thinks I should post recipes for the Father's Day dinner I wrote on my blog, we should totally do that! Join me! How did you season/roast your pork tenderloin? What kind of ice cream did you make?

PS - I heard Dathan took the time to "steal" his tomato plants at your old house to move to your new one! ROFL!! That is TOTALLY a Jacobson! I'd hate to be the people moving in thinking I totally scored getting a garden already planted and then... wha...??? LOLOL!!!

I am laughing at Tricia's comment.
Tomato stealer!
Too funny!

Looks like you guys had a great Father's Day with or without a table.
You always make the best of things.

Enjoy the move.
Try to make the best of life without a computer.
Yikes!

Oh my... that picture make me so so sad! Like mom, I'm also in denial that you are really moving. I've said it before, but we have had SO many fun memories in that house.

I thought you were moving on the 20th? We would have been up to help you!! You won't get this for a while, but I will call you tomorrow to get the 411!

I hope your move runs smoothly with no big hiccups! They say moving is very stressful. I hope yours is stress free. Sounds a lovely celebration! I can feel for you not having internet access for a week! Ours was down for 24 hours this weekend and I hated it!

Good luck with the next week! Isn't amazing how much we have come to rely on technology and the Internet ... what did we do back in the 80's and 90's?!?
