Moving Forward

I make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes. ~Sara Teasdale

I'm baaaack! As of last night at 6:30 p.m. we are officially up and running. Our family went just over two weeks with no home phone, Internet or t.v. It was .....well, it was wonderful, quiet and peaceful. We played games, read, and actually talked to each other. We were able to get so much accomplished without any interruptions. Yes, I am glad to be back. I am grateful however, for the time that I had to get things in our new home a little more organized.

Yes, you read that right, I said "HOME". It truly is starting to feel that way. I still have a lot of work to do, boxes to unpack, pictures to hang. But, I am content. Content??? No, that is the wrong word. I am excited and ready to "make the most of all that comes".

Welcome back to the chaos! I felt bad for you at first for not having a computer, but it sounds wonderful to hear you describe it! Hope you all settle in and feel "home" fast! I'm sure you'll make your new house a welcoming home, just like you did with your last. My sis was visiting her friend's ward Sunday, and said she got to see you in sacrament and "welcome" you guys in! =)

PS - In case you are bogged down with emails and haven't seen mine yet, I need your mom, Erin's & Marla's emails so I can add them to my "allowed" list on my blog, I just changed my settings. See ya!

Hi
Looks like a beautiful home ready for its wonderful family to come home! Moving is exhausting!
I am glad the physical part of the move is over (I mean the furniture - not the boxes!)! Now - let the decorating begin! My fav. part :-)

Welcome back. I've missed your posts. Your new home is so beautiful!

I know what you mean about the no computer thing. Don't you just feel sometimes that it totally consumes our lives. Yeah to the quality family time!

Welcome back dear. I've missed you but it does sound that you needed the quiet two weeks. I can't wait to see pictures of the house with you it. It was beautiful when I saw it empty but it was only a house. With you in it, it will be a home. I love you much. Mom

It's always amazing at what you discover when you con't have access to all the time wasters we let intrude in our lives on a daily basis. I think every family should make it a goal to make at least one day a week "Time Waster" free, even small families like mine. I don't think it's too much to ask to give it all up for one day a week and look at how much you would gain as a family! I can't wait to see what you do with your new home. WOW, it is so exciting!

We drove past your new house last night...it's huge!! Looks like it's going to be a nice subdivision! Good luck with the rest of your unpacking, and then it's on to decorating...EXCITING!

Last time I checked, I had one opening on Saturday @ 2:00, call and grab it, I can get you both cut in that slot!

This is the house? I love it, and I drove past it while there and wish I'd had known it was yours. Kathy was explaining where it was to me so I could stop and visit and I didn't know it was this one. When we are there for the Holidays count on me stopping in. I had 3 weeks of non stop busy and didn't get to see everyone I wanted to see, you being one of them. Next time we will plan a day for sure!! Have fun in your wonderful new home!!!

I'm so glad that I found your blog. How fun that you have a new home. Did you move out of our school? I hope not. Our school wouldn't be the same without you and your beautiful kids. I can't wait to read more about you and your family!
