Monday Madness

The mind that has put its house in order is silent. That silence has no cause and, therefore, has no end. Only that which has a cause can end. That silence - which has no ending - is absolutely necessary, because it is only in that silence that there is no movement of thought. It is only in that silence that that which is sacred, that which is nameless, and that which is not measurable by thought, is. And that which is, is the most sacred.
~ J. Krishnamurti

A house of order! That is the ideal right? I know it is something I have to work at constantly. It hasn't come easy. I would much rather play than clean, dance than organize, sing, read, walk, blog..... well, you get the idea! But, thanks to parents who gave me chores, a husband who wants things clean and Flylady.net, I am head'n in the right direction.

So, I am inviting you to join me on my journey. Working together is much more fun. Each Monday I will post 5 areas to tackle. One for each day of the week. Each one should only take 10-15 minutes. I know you can find that much time.

So here it is:

#1 The shelves in the door of the refridgerator.
#2 The toothbrush/paste drawers.
#3 Under the sink in the master bathroom.
#4 The top of the dryer.
#5 the floor of the coat closet.

Just empty, wipe down, sanitize, and then only put back what you need and use. A few minutes a day and Wow, what a difference.

This is going to be fun!

Oh, I have heard of Flylady.net. My Stake president told me about that page. I like your to do list! I need to do this myself! There's a lot of things in my home that need to be tackled and sorted out!

Ooooo, I love it. It's like gettting the Zone updates without all the bulky emails. I missed Monday but my fridge shelves are still clean from the last cleaning so I will move on to the medicine cabinets where we keep our toothpaste.

What a fun idea...I'm in ...but not this week. I have worked all day yesterday and today taking down all of my fall decorations and tables and putting up Christmas stuff. I have to be ready for the RS Christmas party at our house Dec. 3rd. That does not leave much time after Thanksgiving...rush rush rush....

Usually - crank the i-pod & then the chores don't seem to overwhelm me. You need to post pictures of your cute decorated house! Always fun to see new ideas & cute decorations - which you have a great talent for decorating!!! Miss you - Lisa

When you put it that way...it seems all too easy! Thanks for the motivation! In about 3 days I won't have a house to clean, but maybe I can help out at my moms! :)

I love the way your mind works! I'm a cleaning kind of girl and I love the thought of just tackling a couple things a day, instead of tearing the house to the bones a couple times a week! Woo Hoo!!

I've found I do MUCH better on the cleaning end if I have my beloved i-pod. Really, I've decided I can do just about any task I dislike if I have that wonderful gadget in my ears. I'm still not where I should be, and while I've tried the everyday, just a few things, method . . . and failed, I'm going to try again. THANKS.
